The evolution of Scotty Cameron’s Phantom X 5.5 continues with his latest creation, inspired by Justin Thomas’ prototype gamer, yet refined with a new, self-centring sole plate design, updated graphics and an all-new Pistolero Plus grip with a decorative, non-slip texture. The small slant—or “jet” neck—configuration remains unchanged, as do the solid face and body precision milled from 303 stainless steel and integrated with an updated aluminium sole plate and customizable stainless steel sole weights. This combination of heavier steel and lighter aluminium moves weight to the perimeter of the head, increasing MOI, stability and forgiveness.

Designed to promote a more flowing “blade-like” feel with the stability of a mallet, the milled sight line on the top-line provides alignment, while the refined design aesthetic exudes high-end luxury and pristine craftsmanship at every turn. • NEW TEXTURED GRIP : Scotty updated the Pistolero Plus grip offering for 2022 with a new, non-slip, decorative texture that, like its predecessors, has less taper in the low hand for the ideal combination of size, feel and feedback.
• COMPLETE ALIGNMENT : A single milled sight line on the top-line is the perfect focal cue, as this perpendicular line paired with the curved back wings and the new sole plate’s centre-balancing provide confident alignment.
• SMALL SLANT/JET NECK : The small slant/jet neck lays back slightly and employs a seamless shaft-over setup for an uninterrupted view of the ball from address with nearly one shaft of offset in a configuration that encourages a bit of toe flow.
