As with all the PXG Gen 4 irons, the 0311XP’s have been created using their patented 5 x Forging process. This procedure creates an extremely tight grain structure and increases the strength of the metal, enhancing durability and prolonging the life of the grooves. The unmistakably PXG Precision Weighting Technology has been refined and now consists of a large weight directly behind the centre of gravity on the clubface which makes the head supremely stable. The PXG GEN4 0311P irons benefit from an extremely thin clubface. Made from high strength steel and measuring just 0.058″ it is the thinnest face in golf. When combined with PXG’s XCOR technology the results have to be seen to be believed. Their XCOR technology is the culmination of a multi-year R&D project and has been created specifically for PXG irons and helps to produce the butter soft feel and explosive distance that these irons have quickly become known for. This has also allowed PXG to increase the size of the sweet-spot and allows this iron to perform superbly, even on shots that have not been struck from the centre.
