The original Forged Tec irons were one of the greatest success stories of the past decade. The standard Forged Tec iron have been aimed more at the lower end of the handicap spectrum whilst the Forged Tec X will be enjoyed more by the middle handicaps. 

The new Cobra Forged Tec iron does have something in common with its predecessor as it is once again a truly stunning looking iron. Graphics have been kept to a minimum and the lines of the clubhead are clean and classic looking with a thinner top-line and an overall more compact profile than the original. 

Cobra have done a wonderful job of packing in a huge amount of technology into such a compact design which allows this iron to produce class leading performance in every sector. The 5-step forged body has been crafted to produce the softest feel whilst the hollow cavity inside the head offers the golfer a much welcome boost in both distance and forgiveness. The hollow body is injected with a flexible foam insert that produces an elastic rebound effect and staggeringly fast ball speeds. 

Cobra’s innovative PWRSHELL face has been used on the Forged Tec iron and this forged face cup ensures maximum ball speeds are achieved regardless of where on the face the ball is struck. A heavy tungsten toe-weight has allowed Cobra to position the CG (Centre of Gravity) directly behind the hitting zone which further enhances the feel and increases forgiveness still further.
