adidas Tour 360 Golf Shoes

The adidas Tour 360 is the result of painstaking research and development from the adidas think tank which involved examining earlier incarnations of the Tour 360 shoe and, drawing inspiration from designs and technologies used in their non-golfing footwear. The primary focus for the adidas team was to deliver a golf shoe that offered the absolute best in both fit and traction, perhaps the two most vital components in golf shoe design.

For the first time ever in a golf shoe, adidas have built the Tour 360 ’22 on their ‘Feet You Wear’ last. First introduced into their non-golf footwear as far back as 1996, this last mimics the natural shape of the foot and allows the natural movements of the foot to be accommodated in all directions and supplies the wearer with a superior connection to the ground. adidas believed that this last would be ideally suited to the more power-based requirements of modern-day golf and could assist the golfer with the aggressive weight shifts and effective use of the ground that today’s golf swings require. The Feet You Wear last provides a supremely comfortable home for your feet to navigate the often-undulating walk of your local golf course.

The innovations don’t stop there though and the adidas Tour 360 ’22 also features the SPIKEMORE Traction System which is adidas’ solution to supplying the ultimate in traction, and it delivers hugely improved levels of stability throughout all stages of the swing. The cleats are directly injected onto the TPU base, and this has allowed them to adjust density and create more precise locations. Each cleat features a centre cone with further enhances overall grip. The spikes are larger than those found on forerunners to this shoe and yet the new configuration and size variance makes them far more ‘green friendly’.

Other features include the Dual Stack Midsole which combines their legendary BOOST cushioning with an EVA Stability Frame. This horseshoe shaped piece has been strategically placed on the perimeter of the forefoot and surrounds the full-length BOOST cushioning system. The result is enhanced comfort, performance and a lightweight stability that will make the mileage involved in a round of golf feel like a two-minute stroll around the block.

The Geofit Collar Pad adapts to the individual and provides a more personalised fit on the top of the foot whilst the 3D Torsion system enhances the stability in the midfoot and aids stability throughout the swing. The Feet Your Wear last is complimented with the use of their INSITE sockliner which cradles the contours of the foot and delivers wonderful comfort, cushioning and support, especially in the heel.
